It’s not every day that Caerphilly in South Wales gets an A-List celebrity visitor.
Today, Sir Anthony Hopkins was in town to unveil a new statue dedicated to Tommy Cooper – who was born in the town.
Hopkins is a big Tommy Cooper fan and did a series of impressions of the comic legend before unveiling the statue.
Fez hats were in abundance and the large crowd was a curious mix of Hopkins and Cooper fans.
Here are some of my pictures from the event and a couple of videos.

Very diligent Miss Bolsover. Where do you find the time? Seeing as you were writing it for I-News I will comment as such. Nice top line, not sure it shouldn’t have been Tommy himself though. Concise, generally the theme followed throughout and it wasn’t much off one thought per sentence.
The blog overall is very impressive. Very Johnny on the spot with the links. I would like to see more bile though. You’re a bit namby pamby with your assertions. It would make reading it more interesting. You may visit my blog and although the last post was made ages ago I hoep you’ll find it at least a small and fragmentory window into my frighteningly chaotic brian.
Good Beans.
